I don’t doubt that you like to amuse yourself as any other people. But the problem is that we often entertain ourselves traditionally doing the same things as other people do. For example I can’t consider watching TV to be an exciting kind of entertainment. Of course it’s better to play video games. They can be really amusing and very often they absorb us entirely. But as you know only few games can be considered to be classic ones. But the vast majority of computer games don’t differ much both in plots, controls and graphics. They are simply predictable. As you know from the very beginning you can really be absorbed by a thrilling shooter or a strategy. But any way after some time you’ll be bored once again, because repeating things can get bored any living creature as you know. So there’s no wonder that very soon you’ll forget about your shooters and strategies and start searching for something special.
By the way computer games aren’t so hopeless especially if you are interested in different vehicles such as airplanes, cars, spacecrafts, submarines and so on. So in this case I mean various simulators. Simulators can get you interested indeed even if you hate video games at all. I know many people who have already become real fans of simulators though I know their negative attitude to computer games. I should say that simulators are very specific computer games. So there’s no wonder that those guys who play shooters and RTS games prefer staying away from simulators. And it’s not difficult to understand why they ignore this genre of computer games. The matter is that simulators can’t be considered to be a primitive kind of entertainment. First of all simulators are known for their realism and as follows from this it’s not easy to play such games.
Simulators often require special skills which often relate to specific professional spheres. For example my closer friend was surprised by his inability to control F-16 when he bought one popular simulator. I couldn’t believe my eyes but this experienced gamer was unable to take off. So there’s no need to talk about landing in this case. Certainly then this guys had to read the flight manual several times. I should say that very soon he learnt all the necessary gauges and switches in the cockpit. And in a month he began to fly. Now my closer friend is an experienced virtual pilot. And each time he receives his salary he purchases new control for his simulators such as rudders, thrust controls, sticks and so on. Now he’s going to go in for aerobatics. That has absorbed me too and now I’m ready to follow his path. I feel this taste of adventure too.
