Personal Growth – Are You Feeling OK?

Discover that there is no great mystery regarding personal development and self awareness. The heart of personal focus – the key to real success and happiness – and your personal enlightenment is to be found in asking yourself one simple question. How are you feeling? Yes, a truly simple question – the answer to which can provide you with two key things – a major insight and a major opportunity. Personal development or self improvement is all down to awareness and, more specifically, self awareness. Quite simply, how you are feeling right now! Observing how you’re feeling is not the first step on the path to awareness, it’s the only step – if you reflect on your findings in a focused and mindful manner.

So, stop whatever you’re doing right now and ask yourself the question. Maybe you feel happy, at peace, relaxed, in the whole of your health, full of the joys of Spring. On the other hand, it’s more likely that you’re feeling one or more of the following: stressed, annoyed, tired, irritable, anxious, worried, hassled, confused, helpless, afraid… The fact – and it’s a psychological fact – is that, if you’re feeling any of these things, you’re stuck in the world of make believe – your own subconscious mind is making you believe that you really do feel that way.

What you must realize is that it isn’t your life that stresses you out or worries you – it’s what you think about your life at this moment in time that is doing the damage. Grab a hold of your mind – you’ll take charge of how you feel and, as a result, you’ll start influencing what’s going on in your life.

If you really open your eyes to the reality of where you are and what you’re doing right now and contrast this with how you think you feel, it will dawn on you that the real world is quite different from where you believed you were living. Right now, as you breathe in and out, you don’t have any real or lasting problems. Problems, like everything else, simply pass away. To prove this, ask yourself what you were annoyed or worried about this time last year – or even last month! In this moment of insight you might also understand that there are things going on right in front of you that you couldn’t see because you were blinded by your own negative subconscious programming. We call these things opportunities – take off your blinkers and you’ll notice that you’re surrounded by them.
